Regulation – 1995 – Forestry Development Authority Regulation No22 on Pit-Sawing of Timber – Liberia

Abstract

FDA Regulation No 22 deals with the deliverance of permit prior to any pit-sawing operation in Liberia. In areas including national forests, environmentally threatened areas, national parks, concessions and salvage areas, no pit-sawing activities are allowed.

Amendments

FDA Regulation No 26 on the Ban of Pit-Sawing/Power Chain Sawing repealed Regulation No 22. It establishes saw mills and provides for regulations on forest resources utilisation rights of holders without sawmills as well as sawmills established without forest resources utilisation right agreement and local waybill.
