Open letter to VP Timmermans – Aarhus findings access to justice UNACCC

The European Union is breaching the law by stopping individuals and campaign groups taking environmental cases to court.

This is the finding of the UN committee charged with guaranteeing citizen’s access to information and justice in environmental matters in the EU and beyond.

This is an open letter from ClientEarth and other environmental NGOs sent to the Vice President of the Commission and Environment Commissioner Karmenu Vella which calls on the EU to follow the UN committee’s recommendations to address this democratic deficit.
