Notification to the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets in respect of Ahold Delhaize N.V.

In this Notification, we set out for the AFM how Ahold Delhaize has breached the applicable legal
requirements governing the content of the non-financial statement by failing to provide material
information on the topic of plastic packaging in the Management Report.

The fundamental premise of this Notification is that, for the purposes of the applicable legal requirements, Ahold Delhaize:
(i) causes material adverse impacts to the environment through its use of plastic packaging;
and
(ii) faces material financial risks linked to its use of plastic packaging, and has breached the applicable requirements by failing to provide material information relating to these two aspects of the topic of plastic packaging.
