Joint NGO recommendations to the parties managing Northeast Atlantic shared fish stocks

These joint NGO recommendations to the European Commission, the United Kingdom and other third parties were co-signed by ClientEarth, Oceana, Our Fish, Pew Charitable Trusts, Seas At Risk and The Fisheries Secretariat. In this document, we jointly call on the EU, the UK and other third countries such as the NEAFC Coastal States, to set fishing opportunities for shared fish stocks for 2021 in line with the sustainability requirements and objectives of the CFP and international legislation. In light of the UK’s departure from the EU, we also urge both parties to agree on a sustainable framework for future fisheries management that will finally end overfishing.
