EU Soil Framework Directive

In February 2019, the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems (IPES-Food) issued its report 'Towards a common food policy for the European Union', presenting 80 proposals to develop a European Food Policy. Cooperating with IPES-Food, ClientEarth examined the aforementioned report’s proposal on soil protection within the EU. Strongly connecting policy demands to the EU legal framework, this analysis intends to provide a toolbox with the potential to assist EU policy makers in the future development of a new EU Soil Framework Directive.
