ClientEarth's contribution to the Inception Impact Assessment of the CLP reform

The CLP Regulation is the keystone of the identification and control of hazardous chemicals. It is the regulation that leads to the exclamation point on your dish soap label and that grounds the ban of harmful chemicals in toys, cosmetics or medical devices.

The Commission is now working on a reform as part of the promises of the Green Deal and Chemical Strategy for Sustainability “Towards a non-toxic environment”. The inception impact assessment is the first step of the process, which should culminate in a proposal for reform at the end of 2021/beginning of 2022.

ClientEarth will be active at each stage.
