Professor Nicolas de Sadeleer is currently full-time Professor of environmental law at the Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis, Academie de Louvain, and part-time Professor at the Institut d’études européennes de l’Université catholique de Louvain.

He is also a guest Professor at the Paris II - Panthéon-Sorbonne. His other professional experience includes serving as a director from 1990 to 2003 of the Environmental Law Centre at the Facutés Universitaires Saint-Louis in Brussels.

His areas of research and teaching include EC and International environmental law, health and consumer law, free movement of goods, Belgian environmental law, subjects on which he publishes and speaks extensively. His recent books include Environmental Principles and co-authored with Born, Le droit de la biodiversité.
