Just because we can’t see pollution, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

The air we breathe, the water we drink and oceans we depend on, are all polluted. But it doesn’t have to be this way.  We’re tackling harmful chemicals, putting an end to plastic pollution and fighting for clean air.

7.25m

tonnes of plastic ends up in the ocean every year.

90%

of the world's children breathe toxic air every day.

What we've achieved

We won ground-breaking court cases on air pollution in the UK. Now we’re bringing similar challenges across Europe. We pushed for ambitious new plastic laws in the EU to limit new plastic production.

We fought to have the hormone-disrupting chemical BPA listed as a harmful substance and exposed illegal delays by the European Commission in restricting the use of harmful chemicals.

Our clean air team has defeated the UK government three times in court. As we continue to push for ambitious action by national and local governments, we are also taking the legal fight for clean air across Europe.
