Focus

Lucy is based in our London office. Her work focuses on holding the government to account in strengthening environmental protection post-Brexit and implementing the new environmental governance framework set out in the Environment Act.

Her work also involves using the law to address pollution from agriculture and promote more sustainable agricultural practices.

Experience

Before joining ClientEarth, Lucy was a lawyer with Womble Bond Dickinson LLP based in their Bristol office, where her practice focused on development consent applications for infrastructure projects such as offshore wind farms and new road and rail schemes. In this role, she developed expertise in environmental assessment procedures including Environmental Impact Assessments and Habitats Regulations Assessment.

Education

Lucy holds a master’s degree in History of Art and English Literature from the University of Edinburgh and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Hertfordshire.

She was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2018.
