We need ambitious climate action.

The environment has never been so high up in the political agenda of the EU. The European Green Deal is the EU’s plan to make the economy sustainable and the EU climate neutral by 2050. The deal includes an ambitious set of policy initiatives and laws on climate, agriculture, biodiversity, energy, circular economy, forests and pollution. We work to ensure these objectives are delivered with the highest level of ambition.

The European Union has the potential to be a leader in the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss. Our goal is to help deliver the Green Deal by making sure policies and laws are strong and coherent.

European Green Deal latest – new commitments on food and nature

The EU has published the highly anticipated Farm to Fork Strategy and Biodiversity Strategy, shaping the future of food systems and nature protection in the Union. These strategies are at the heart of the European Green Deal and aim to build our resilience to future climate threats. We worked with a group of NGOs to push for these new strategies to contain ambitious targets.
