Chris Hilson

Professor Chris Hilson is Professor of Law at the University of Reading where in recent years he has acted as Director of Research.

He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Environmental Law (OUP) and is the author of Regulating Pollution (Hart, 2000) and numerous academic articles on environmental law. His research interests lie in particular at the intersection between EU law and environmental law. Recent work has focused on the use of law by social movement actors, risk regulation and public concern, rights and environmental citizenship. Before his current post he acted for a short time as a policy adviser to the waste industry.
