Gabrielle Bacon’s philanthropy is focused on education, health and the arts. A graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, Gabrielle Bacon received her Master of Philosophy in International Relations from Cambridge University, UK, where her thesis focus was the International Court of Justice. Recently, Gabrielle Bacon was appointed Goodwill Ambassador for North America to the International Commission of the Voices of Future Generations Project Book Series, which operates in partnership with the United Nations through its Division on Sustainable Development.
In addition to serving as a US Board Member, Gabrielle Bacon is a Trustee of The Moore Charitable Foundation (“MCF”). Mrs. Bacon serves as Vice President of the Green Vale School Board of Trustees, as well as on the Women’s Board of The Boys’ Club of New York, a 140-year-old organization which provides substantial after-school programs throughout Manhattan for boys in need of additional support. She currently sits on the Board of the Peconic Baykeeper, an environmental watch group on Long Island, tackling water pollution issues. Mrs. Bacon is also a Board Trustee of New York Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University-Weill Cornell medical system.
By invitation, she is a member of the Tate International Council (UK) as well as the Chairman’s Council of The Metropolitan Museum of Fine Arts (NYC). With her husband Louis Bacon, she is a founding member of the new Parrish Art Museum on Long Island.
