New release from Rina Sawayama - Hold The Girl

Congratulations to Rina Sawayama on the release of her second album, Hold The Girl. Rina is just one of the artists who have generously given to ClientEarth towards our fight against climate change. 

Rina Sawayama is a singer-songwriter, whose debut studio album propelled her to widespread critical acclaim. She has collaborated with the likes of Charli XCX, Elton John and Pabllo Vittar, and has won several awards including Vogue Japan’s Women of the Year.

Sawayama has spoken openly about climate change, with her song ‘XS’ mocking capitalism in the face of climate change, and the music video drawing attention to the possibility of human extinction. She’s working with Plus1, who partner with leading artists and brands to unlock funding and increase visibility of impactful social and environmental justice initiatives. As well as supporting environmental organisations like ClientEarth, they are working to support a Black Lives fund, mental health access and Ukraine relief among other social initiatives.
