Open letter to REGI Committee: The Just Transition has to be fossil fuel-free

The European Commission promised in its European Green Deal to leave no one and no region behind in a transition away from fossil fuels towards a climate-neutral economy. Its proposed Just Transition Fund - seeking to support people, workers and communities affected - cannot be used to fund gas as another dirty fossil fuel. Therefore, over 60 NGOs, including ClientEarth, have urged the REGI Committee of the European Parliament in an open letter to keep any fossil fuels out of the Just Transition Fund.
