Letter from ClientEarth to Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank

ClientEarth lawyers have written to the members of the European Central Bank’s (ECB) Executive Board and Governing Council informing them of litigation ClientEarth has commenced in the Belgian courts, reminding them of the ECB’s legal obligations related to climate change and urging them to use the ECB’s Monetary Policy Strategy Review as an opportunity to reform its corporate asset purchase programmes.
