Korean Act on the Sustainability of Wood (English)

The government of Korea has committed to excluding illegal wood from the Korean market, and as such has revised an Act on the Sustainable Use of Wood, which came into effect on 22 September 2017. It includes provisions regulating the import of illegally logged timber products.

The government of Korea is expected to develop further information on the scope of the legislation and an enforcement ordinance in the near future.
