Joint NGO letter to Victoria Prentis

In this joint NGO letter to the UK fisheries minister, Blue Marine Foundation, Oceana, Marine Conservation Society and ClientEarth voice their concerns about the failure of the UK and the EU to agree sustainable fishing limits in line with scientific advice for all stocks for 2021. This was the first year in which the UK and EU jointly set fishing limits for their shared stocks under the 2020 Trade and Cooperation Agreement. We call on Victoria Prentis to honour the UK’s various sustainability commitments and claims when setting fishing limits going forward.
