ClientEarth’s contribution to the Public consultation on the Roadmap ‘Towards a more comprehensive EU framework on endocrine disruptors’

ClientEarth’s response to the EU Commission consultation on a ‘Roadmap’ “Towards a more comprehensive EU framework on endocrine disrupters”.

In this contribution, ClientEarth criticizes the Commission’s very positive evaluation of its own scorecard, the Commission’s actions to manage the risks of EDCs being rather characterised, in the last years, by undue delays and illegality.

ClientEarth also rejects the Commission’s affirmation that EU law already offers a ‘comprehensive’ protection against EDC and describe the many legal gaps that the EU needs to fix to truly protect people and the environment against the harmful effects of these substances.
