The Society of Lloyd’s of London issued its first climate change policy for insurers operating within the Lloyd’s market in its ESG Report 2020.

This letter addresses the Society’s legal duties and powers in relation to mitigating climate risk, asks it to confirm its position on whether the Lloyd’s market should be aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement, and asks for clarification on certain matters in relation to the status and operation of the climate targets in the ESG Report.
