On 8 December 2017, the Polish Parliament adopted the Act on the Capacity Market. This study assesses the final design of the capacity market scheme, to which, during the parliamentary legislative process, a number of significant changes have been made. According to the Act, the purpose of the capacity market is to ensure the mid- and long term security of power supply to final customers in a cost efficient, non-discriminatory and environmentally sustainable way.
