Back in the spring of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing restrictions just made the Hungarian EARL team cancel its already organized 5th training event (scheduled for 1 April 2020). However, the team insisted on having a training workshop based on personal encounter, therefore on the 7th of September, the event was held eventually.
The training was co-organized by Justice & Environment and MABIV, the Hungarian Alliance for Private Nuisance Protection. Participants of the training were approximately 50 officials working for municipal offices (which are entrusted with dealing with private nuisance cases on the local level in Hungary).
Presentations were about private nuisance and its environmental implications, public participation, and access to justice in environmental matters and local environmental protection in general.
