Stéphanie joined ClientEarth’s State aid team in October 2020, first as a legal researcher and now as a lawyer. Her work focuses on aligning the EU State aid rules with the EU Green Deal and the climate goals.

Experience

Before joining ClientEarth, Stéphanie was a commercial lawyer at the international law firm HFW where she worked on litigation and regulatory matters with a focus on the insurance and aviation sectors. She qualified as a general commercial litigator at the Belgian law firm van Cutsem and did a traineeship at the European Commission, DG Competition.

Education

Stéphanie qualified as a lawyer at the Brussels Bar in 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Namur, a Master of Laws from Leuven University and an LLM in European Law from Maastricht University.
