Emmanuel provides expertise on public affairs and global policy advocacy, managing international projects that support legal teams advocate on the rule of law at environmental policy and legal milestones across different geographies. He supports colleagues with expertise and insight as they develop compelling and coherent policy/legal strategies, which resonate with intergovernmental organisations, policymakers as well as influencers.

Experience

Before joining ClientEarth, Emmanuel was a corporate UK & EU public affairs consultant, managing international teams to design and implement successful creative communications strategies for clients including a range of global IT and tech companies targeting Westminster, Whitehall and the EU institutions. Prior to this, Emmanuel worked at the UK Parliament as a researcher to the Minister for Small Business and Corporate Responsibility.

Education

Emmanuel graduated from Exeter and Peking universities in the UK and China with a degree in English Literature and Mandarin Chinese.

Countries and corporations must use the power of the law to set out concrete actions for long-term net zero targets, not just ambitions. They must think in terms of planetary cycles, limits and opportunities, rather than short-term electoral and shareholder results.
