Amalia joined our Brussels office in March 2022. Within the Forests Team, she provides legal support and capacity building to NGOs and forest communities in South East Asia, for the development and implementation of sustainable forest management processes.

Experience

Before joining ClientEarth, Amalia worked as policy and advocacy officer in Docip (EU office), an NGO which supports Indigenous Peoples in advocating for their human rights at both EU and UN level. Prior to that experience, I worked as an external consultant for the European Commission (DG INTPA) on Indigenous People’s rights and as a research assistant at the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Brussels.

Education

I hold a Bachelor and Master in Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, and a European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation from EIUC.
