As the Head of ClientEarth's Warsaw office, Agata Szafraniuk oversees all legal interventions and operations in Poland and the broader Central and Eastern European region. She plays a pivotal role in shaping strategic direction while focusing on maximizing the organization's regional impact and influence.

She is a senior lawyer and environmental leader with over a decade of experience and unwavering dedication to advancing conservation and biodiversity across Poland, Central and Eastern Europe, and the EU.

Agata has played a pivotal role in driving impactful environmental initiatives and leading our Wildlife & Habitats team. Under her guidance, the team has achieved remarkable milestones, including the preservation of free-flowing rivers in the Balkans, the development of stronger forestry regulations, and a groundbreaking victory in the European Court of Justice against illegal logging in the Białowieża Forest.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw and the University of Lisbon, Agata is a certified advocate, completing her legal training with the Warsaw Bar Association. Her dedication to environmental causes and empowering civil society earned her recognition by Forbes Women magazine.
