Dimitri joined ClientEarth in 2024 as a Fisheries and Subsidies Lawyer, working in the Public Finance, Energy Markets, and Competition team.
Based in the Brussels office, he focuses on the just transition of the fisheries sector, the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy, and the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) at both national and European levels. 
Experience
After graduating, Dimitri completed his legal practice at the Court of Pisa in Tuscany, where he worked on civil law matters. In 2023, he undertook a traineeship at the European Commission (Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries), where he followed the ratification process of the BBNJ Treaty and discussions on the Mining Code of the International Seabed Authority.
Education
Dimitri holds a double degree in Italian and French law from the Università degli Studi di Firenze and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He also completed a one-year Erasmus exchange at the University of Vienna. After graduating, he specialized in EU law with an LLM from the College of Europe in Bruges.
