Anna's role is to help to develop and deliver ClientEarth's programmes strategy for Europe, working with colleagues across the organisation and partners across the sector.
Anna is an experienced environmental litigator with extensive experience of legal strategy, programmatic impact, and environmental grantmaking.
Prior to her current role, Anna served as Deputy Interim Environmental Protection Assessor for Wales, providing expert advice to Welsh Ministers on the functioning and enforcement of environmental law.
Previously, she held senior roles at the Foundation for International Law for the Environment and at ClientEarth, where she led teams and spearheaded legal strategies that delivered meaningful impact at national, European, and global levels. Her work has included litigation and high-level advocacy within the EU and beyond.
Earlier in her career, she worked for the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment, where she enforced environmental compliance across EU member states, and held roles at leading UK environmental NGOs, including the RSPB (Birdlife).
A qualified solicitor in both England & Wales and the Republic of Ireland, she brings deep legal expertise combined with a strong track record in leadership, programmatic delivery, stakeholder engagement, and risk management. She has served on the boards of several international environmental organisations.
Anna is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and in the Republic of Ireland (currently non-practicing in both) having attended Nottingham Law School.
