Justin Johnson is the Chief Executive Officer of the Jacobs Futura Foundation (JFF), a newly established philanthropy dedicated to two core missions: protecting tropical rainforests and supporting athletes. Prior to founding JFF, Justin served as Climate Director at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, where he oversaw a diverse range of philanthropic strategies and programmes aimed at addressing climate change and environmental sustainability.

Earlier in his career, Justin spent nine years at Centrica Plc, the energy and services company, in roles including Group Head of Strategic Projects. From 2006 to 2009, he worked at the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) as Specialist Adviser to the Ministerial team and Secretary of State, contributing to national environmental policy.

Justin has also held significant governance roles, including Trustee of the Clean Air Fund, Trustee of CDP, and Member of the Board of Directors of C40 Cities, bringing extensive experience in both environmental policy and strategic philanthropy.
