Forest engineer, and Executive Director of Essono Ondo for Social and Environmental (CEO-SE) since 2021, Mr. Essono Ondo works with some international NGOs in support of Gabonese CSOs, and more specifically as a ClientEarth Country Associate in Gabon to support local civil society.

He has developed a wealth of experience in natural resource management, support to civil society and community-based organizations. After working at Rougier Gabon, a forestry company between 2004 and 2006, he joined the Gabonese NGO Brainforest as a project manager in 2007 and then as Program Coordinator from 2009 to 2017, as well as Coordinator of the civil society platform Gabon Ma Terre Mon Droit (GMTMD) from 2011 to 2018 during which time he was also Technical Advisor to the NGO Muyissi Environnement, providing it with multifaceted support.
