Dr. Jamie DeWitt is an environmental toxicologist who studies how environmental contaminants affect the immune system, with a focus on the adaptive immune system and antibody responses. She is especially interested in emerging or understudied contaminants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and how they affect the ability of B cells to function. Her work advances hazard identification and dose-response assessment in support of risk assessments to protect public and environmental health.
