Gabon leopard & corridor program coordinator, Panthera
Initially working on chimpanzee and gorilla habituation for the Max Planck Institute in Loango National Park (2010–2014), Christopher has been employed by Panthera since 2015, leading largescale cameratrap surveys across Gabon to identify potential wildlife corridors connecting the country’s protected areas.
Since 2022, his work has focused on northeastern Gabon, supporting the creation of a new protected area (Momba) between Ivindo and Mwagna National Parks, as well as the surrounding ecological corridors required to maintain landscape connectivity.
At a broader scale, he contributes to national assessments of new protected and conserved areas as part of Gabon’s 30×30 planning process.
