For more than twenty years, Macarena has been working in a marine reserve of fishing interest, hand-in-hand with local fishermen. During this time, she has led outreach initiatives and taken on fisheries governance and management responsibilities. For the past year, she has also become a boat owner, working directly from her own vessel.
