London Climate Action Week
20-28th June 2026
London Climate Action Week is a key moment in the climate calendar to shape the legal, political and financial systems needed for climate action.
At ClientEarth, we bring together law, policy and partnership to turn ambition into enforceable action.
This year, we're bringing law and partnership to major topics:
Holding corporations accountable
Big corporations are among the world’s most powerful actors - and big polluters and their backers have one goal: keep the world hooked on fossil fuels. This diverts resources away from truly sustainable solutions.
They can and must be held accountable for their polluting activities, lobbying and greenwashing.
Defending environmental rights
No one's home should be used as a sacrifice zone for business activities. Environmental rights are human rights.
The law belongs to all of us and we can use it to decide how the future will look. ClientEarth is using the law to put the power back with the people.
Protecting the ocean
The ocean is one of our greatest climate allies. Regulating temperatures, storing carbon, and sustaining biodiversity.
Protecting and restoring marine ecosystems must be central to climate action. Strong laws exist to tackle overfishing, pollution, and ecosystem destruction, but without enforcement, they fail. Accountability must become action.

UK climate
2026 is a pivotal year for UK climate credibility. The government's independent advisors have already issued a stark warning that the "UK was built for a climate that no longer exists today".
The government has recently approved the Carbon Budget Delivery Plan, but we still have concerns over reliance on high-risk technologies - and a lack of investment in proven solutions available now. Energy independence comes from ending reliance on volatile fossil fuel markets.
Climate targets must be supported by delivery plans that are realistic. We're committed to a future where the law is there to support people and planet - and hold polluters accountable.
