Response from Minister Prentis to joint NGO letter about transparency in negotiations on fishing opportunities between the UK and the EU and stakeholder participation in the work of the Specialised Committee on Fisheries

This is Minister Prentis’ response to a joint NGO letter on transparency in EU-UK bilateral and EU-UK-Norway trilateral negotiations on fishing opportunities, sent on 19 March 2021. In her response, Minister Prentis reaffirms her commitment to improved transparency and her openness to the inclusion of eNGOs in the process so far and going forward. She also refers to the Specialised Committee on Fisheries which is yet to be set up and the anticipated publication of an agreed record documenting the outcome of the negotiations once concluded.
