Response from Commissioner Sinkevičius to joint NGO follow-up letter about transparency in EU-UK bilateral and EU-UK-Norway trilateral negotiations on fishing opportunities

This is the Commissioner’s response to the joint NGO follow-up letter about transparency in negotiations on fishing opportunities between the UK and the EU and stakeholder participation in the work of the Specialised Committee on Fisheries, sent on 19 March 2021. In his response, the Commissioner reaffirms his commitment to improved transparency and accountability both in the TAC negotiations and under the Specialised Committee on Fisheries. He also refers to the Civil Society Forum and the Domestic Advisory Group(s) to be established under the Trade and Cooperation Agreement, and the willingness to continue debriefs between the negotiating teams and NGOs.
