Joint NGO letter to Commissioner Sinkevičius and the Portuguese Council Presidency about transparency in EU-UK bilateral and EU-UK-Norway trilateral negotiations on fishing opportunities

This joint NGO letter co-signed by 13 NGOs (BirdWatch Ireland, ClientEarth, The Danish Society for Nature Conservation, Deutsche Umwelthilfe, Dutch Elasmobranch Society, The Fisheries Secretariat, LobbyControl, Oceana, Our Fish, Sciaena, Seas at Risk, Transparency International EU and Transparency International Portugal) was sent on 25 January 2021. In this letter, we call on Commissioner Sinkevičius and Minister Serrão Santos to ensure transparency and accountability of the bilateral and trilateral negotiations between the EU, the UK and Norway on fishing opportunities. In particular, we request fair access to the negotiations for environmental NGOs.
