We’re holding the EU accountable for overfishing and illegal fishing and ensuring illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing is eliminated from seafood markets.
Only the ocean can absorb more carbon than all the earth's rainforest combined, be home to over 260,000 different species, and provide millions of people in coastal communities around the world with a livelihood.
The ocean is essential for the survival of all living things. But it is at a breaking point after decades of industrial fishing, drilling and plastic pollution.
We depend on the ocean for a healthy and stable climate, and for food and water. It sustains all humanity and countless other species that call the earth home. But destructive fishing methods like bottom trawling, oil and gas exploration, plastic waste and the increase of global temperatures are destroying it at a rate like never before.
We believe that big companies should not get to profit at the expense of our ocean. We're fighting every day to use the law to protect the ocean from corporate greed, and to restore and safeguard it for our future generations. Now, we need your help.
Together we can protect the ocean we all rely on.
Ocean wildlife is dying needlessly
Every year hundreds of thousands of sea birds and marine wildlife, like dolphins and turtles, are caught in fishing nets and tossed back - dead or dying.
Fishing nets can be a mile long - and there's no way to control what they catch. Anything and everything will get tangled in - and if it's not what the fishers were hoping for, they chuck it back.
An estimated 40% of all marine catch is discarded as unwanted, including a staggering 250,000 endangered sea turtles.
We're making it clear to leaders around Europe that we won't stand for it. Add your name and join the official record against needless bycatch.
Help us safeguard our ocean, now and for the future.
