Raphaël Soffer joined our Brussels office in November 2018.
Prior to joining ClientEarth, Raphaël worked as a lawyer for the Energy & Infrastructure departments of King & Wood Mallesons (2014-2016) and Orrick Herrington Sutcliffe (2017-2018), focusing on the development of energy projects in developing countries. Raphaël was admitted as a member of the New York Bar in 2009 and the Paris Bar in 2011. He majored in International and European law at the University of Paris 10 – Nanterre in 2009 and obtained an LL.M from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 2008. Raphaël also studied law at the National University of Taiwan and practised at Winkler Partners in Taiwan.
A transparent and low carbon internal energy market in the EU and associated countries is indispensable in order to mitigate the effects of climate change and guarantee a clean and healthy environment for all. I consider myself lucky to have joined the young family of committed professionals working for ClientEarth on behalf of our common welfare and environment.
