Mengxing joined ClientEarth as a translator at the beginning of 2016. She now works as a Senior Manager on our China programme. She is based in our Beijing office.

Mengxing previously worked with the WWF Youth Program in southwestern Madagascar as a volunteer diver and community worker, soon after finishing her BA in English Literature at Peking University in Beijing. She then gained her experience at the EU-China Environmental Governance Programme where she worked as a translator, finding it the best combination of her passion for nature and her expertise in language.

She is now studying to become a qualified simultaneous interpreter, specialising in environmental law.

Working at ClientEarth taught me the amazing power of law. Progress in environmental rule of law is happening fast in China, and I am honoured to work with a great team to contribute to this exciting process, even just a small part of it.
