Focus

Francesca joined ClientEarth in November 2025 to address the environmental and climate impacts of global supply chains serving the European market. Through policy advocacy and strategic litigation, Francesca works on matters relating to corporate responsibility and accountability, with a particular focus on ensuring the effective implementation and enforcement of the EU framework for corporate environmental and human rights due diligence, the 'CSDDD'.

Experience

Francesca started her career in private practice, focusing on environmental regulation and litigation, before moving to Brussels to work as an EU policy consultant, where she focused on sustainable agri-food policy. Prior to joining ClientEarth, Francesca was a lawyer in the litigation team of a UK-based conservation charity.

Education

Francesca holds an LL.M. in Environmental Law and Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and is admitted to the New York State Bar. She also holds a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Milan. Her Master's thesis explored the issue of access to justice for victims of environmental harm at the EU and international level.
At a time of growing environmental, societal and political challenges, I feel lucky to be able to contribute my passion and expertise to an organisation as ambitious as ClientEarth, alongside such brilliant and dedicated colleagues. Now more than ever, global and European markets must operate within planetary boundaries and in ways that are fair to all people.
