Strategy – 2007 – Forest Development Authority National Forest Management Strategy – Liberia

FDA National Forest Management Strategy summarizes the FDA philosophy for managing the national forest endowment. Doing so, it contains FDA approach to forest management, its long-term end-states, or goals, and the Authority’s major forest management objectives for the following two years. It aims as at conserving and sustainably managing all forest areas so that they will continue to produce a complete range of goods and services for the benefits of all Liberians and contribute to poverty alleviation in the nation. Therefore it provides a number of objectives the FDA should follow when exercising its power to serve this goal. A Forest Management Suitability Study and a National Forest Management Strategy are detailed in the policy.
