A Practical Guide to the revised Renewable Energy Directive

This Practical Guide has been prepared to provide guidance on nature and people-oriented obligations under the Renewable Energy Directive (RED). With references to international
and European Union (EU) law, as well as the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) we provide recommendations on how to implement the
provisions of the RED while maintaining consistency with EU environmental law and
obligations under the Aarhus Convention.
