Letter to head of political groups in EP: Call to end EU funding to fossil fuels and ensure a Just Transition

The European Commission promised in its European Green Deal to leave no one and no region behind in a transition away from fossil fuels towards a climate-neutral economy. Its proposed Just Transition Fund - seeking to support people, workers and communities affected - cannot be used to fund gas as another dirty fossil fuel. Therefore, NGOs across Europe, including ClientEarth, are calling on the heads of the political groups in the European Parliament to end EU funding to fossil fuels and ensure a Just Transition.
