ClientEarth’s contribution to the public consultation on ECHA’s Proposal to restrict intentionally added microplastic

ClientEarth welcomes this Restriction and in particular its scope, which covers all sources of intentionally added microplastics, irrespective of the sector or specific use. This inclusive scope is justified considering the breadth of microplastics’ environmental disaster. However, the derogations and transitional periods raise concerns, as our contribution highlights.
