ClientEarth presentation at the European Parliament calling for reform of the food contact material regulation

Speaking at an event organised by SAFE at the European Parliament on 16 May 2018, ClientEarth chemicals lawyer Alice Bernard explained why the current EU rules on food contact materials are insufficient to prevent the damage to our health and the environment that chemicals such as endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) can cause. Our attitude towards risk is a societal choice. From a public interest perspective, such chemicals should not be in contact with our food, even at very low doses.
