This letter is sent by the CEOs of ClientEarth, Fossielvrij NL and Reclame Fossielvrij, to the airlines operating out of Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
In light of KLM's climate-related advertising being found unlawful in Amsterdam District Court in March 2024, this letter is being sent to set out the red lines for aviation 'sustainability' advertising as classified in the KLM judgement, and conclude on its implications.
The original version of this letter contained two sentences which were incomplete due to a technical issue. A corrected version was uploaded on 22 July 2024.
