This Act provides for the establishment of the Environment Protection Agency of the Republic of Liberia. It defines its powers, functions, organisation and administration. The Agency is the principal authority in Liberia for the management of the environment and shall co-ordinate, monitor, supervise and consult with relevant stakeholders on all activities in the protection of the environment and sustainable use of natural resources. In addition, provisions on enforcement and control are contained in the Act.
