The EU climate law will provide the framework for the EU’s climate action in the coming decades.One crucial aspect of this framework must be access to justice to ensure that its commitments are respected in practice.
This note provides some explanation on a crucial provision proposed by the European Parliament that would allow for such access to justice, specifically to challenge the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plans (NECP)or the Long Term Strategies (LTS).
