Adam Zamoyski

Adam Zamoyski is an eminent historian whose family originates in Poland.

Zamoyski was raised in England during the Soviet occupation of Poland following WWII but began visiting his homeland in the late 1960s. His work includes Chopin. A Biography (1979), recognised as the standard text on the composer, and The Polish Way: A Thousand Year History of the Poles and Their Culture (1987). He is also Chairman of the Board of the Princes Czartoryski Foundation.
