Michael Mwanaikemba is a researcher, with a background in political sciences, and a civil society activist working on human rights and sustainable governance of natural resources in the Republic of Congo (RoC). He has a lot of experience with community engagement, particularly in the field of socio-economic and political integration of local communities and indigenous peoples. Before becoming ClientEarth’s Junior In-Country Associate for the RoC, he managed various projects for the promotion of community rights in forest governance, independent forest monitoring and civil society participation in VPA/FLEGT processes. He is currently based in Brazzaville with ClientEarth’s partner organisation Comptoir Juridique Junior.
